Fragrance families
Fragrances are usually described by the character that dominates them. The broad families are fresh (citrus, green and aquatic), floral, woody and amber — warm, resinous and often sweet. Many fragrances sit between two families, which is why it helps to notice what you keep returning to rather than choosing by label alone.
Notes & structure
A fragrance unfolds over time. Top notes are the first impression and fade soonest. Heart notes emerge as it settles. Base notes last longest and shape how it ends. That is why a fragrance is best judged on skin over hours, not on a paper strip in a few seconds.
Strength & wear
In perfumery, eau de toilette is generally the lightest, eau de parfum sits in the middle, and parfum is the most concentrated. Every Studio fragrance is offered in all three:

How to choose
Start with what you already like, then narrow it down: the Fragrance Finder asks a few questions about how you like fragrance to feel, and starting with 10ml lets you wear a fragrance for a full day before choosing a full size.
