Who we are

This website is operated by Kenneth Manikya, sole proprietor, trading as Pick-a-Perfume Studio, E18, Room No. 4, Plot No. 2, ML Camp, Matunga, Mumbai 400019, Maharashtra, India (“we”). We are responsible for the personal data described in this policy.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the site, this may include:

  • Account details you provide (such as name, email address, phone number, delivery and billing address).
  • Order information (what you bought, customization requests, order history).
  • Payment information, when online payment is offered: this is handled by our payment provider — the Studio does not store full card details.
  • Messages you send us by email or WhatsApp.
  • Your email address, if you ask to join our mailing list.
  • Technical and usage data collected automatically (such as device, browser and pages viewed) through cookies and similar technologies.
  • How you arrived at the site (for example a search engine or a link), which our store software records with an order.

How we use your information

  • To take, produce, and deliver your order, including made-to-order and customized fragrances.
  • To provide customer support and respond to enquiries.
  • To send order and service communications.
  • To send marketing emails where you have opted in, and let you opt out at any time.
  • To understand and improve how the site is used.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Cookies and analytics

The site uses cookies and similar technologies for basic functionality and to measure how the site is used.

The site currently uses:

  • Essential store cookies and browser storage (WooCommerce) to keep your cart, checkout and account working.
  • Security cookies set by our hosting provider to protect the site from automated traffic.
  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) to understand how pages are used.
  • Order attribution cookies (WooCommerce) that record how you arrived at the site, stored with your order if you buy.

Pages also load fonts from Google and small images from WordPress.org, and a script from Hostinger Reach, our hosting provider’s email-marketing service. We do not currently use advertising or retargeting pixels.

Google Analytics data is kept by Google according to the retention setting in our Analytics account. We have not set up email marketing or cart reminders through Hostinger Reach; if we do, we will update this policy before using it.

The site does not currently show a cookie banner. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; essential store cookies are needed for the cart and checkout to work.

Who we share information with

We share information only as needed to run the Studio, for example with:

  • Our payment provider, to process payments.
  • Shipping and logistics partners, to deliver orders.
  • Analytics providers, to measure site usage.
  • Professional advisers and authorities where required by law.

The website is hosted by Hostinger. Site usage is measured with Google Analytics, and fonts are served by Google. To arrange delivery, your order details — including your name, contact details, delivery address and the items ordered — are shared with Shiprocket, our shipping platform, and the courier it assigns. If you check delivery to a PIN code on a product page, that PIN code is sent to Shiprocket. Shiprocket’s integration with our store can also access registered customer account details (name, email address and billing address). Some of these service providers, such as Google, may process data outside India.

How long we keep information

We keep order and account records for as long as needed to provide our services and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete personal data we no longer need to keep; see “Your rights” below.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, withdraw consent you have given, or raise a grievance with us. To make a request, email pickaperfumeindia@gmail.com or message +91 73047 72210 (WhatsApp).

Where applicable law allows, you may also nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Card and bank details are entered with our payment provider, not stored by the Studio.

Children

Our website and products are intended for adults and are not directed at children. Please do not provide a child’s personal data to us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version will always be posted on this page.
